Stories for Visibility

Too often, refugees are confronted and misrepresented by stigma and discrimination-based narratives that negatively affect their capacities to receive proper care and treatment across social, health, and political domains. Together with Refugees aims to combat these renditions by acting as the impetus for propriety-founded and civil reactions to the experiences of the peoples whose positions are solely based on external circumstance—positions whose exigences are unpredictable and insoluble.

Now, how do we aspire to do such? We want to construct a platform that can be utilized by refugees for them to share their ordeals, personally inviting individuals to relive their experiences and gel a link to bridge the gap between them. However, we also embrace the divulging of those stories which will make you fall back in love with the world which we have been borne life: the accounts of giving back, the chronicles of being received with open arms, the inspiring triumphs of finding safety, and so, so much more.

The ultimate end is to shed on a light on the humanity and the need for humanity that persists in all times, whether said epochs are based on plight, disaster, or conflict, and how disseminating compassion registers us people the faculty to hope and strive for that which is commonly thought of as nonviable or impractical; the object of our action is to reinstall hope within communities, both those affected and not affected by tumultuous events, and we will do such by first increasing visibility for those who need or have already attained support.
