Documenting Humanity
Goal: to create a sustainable site that can be used to document and release crafts and arts of peoples in torn countries, effectively garnering funds and turning proceeds over to credited foundations and organizations.
The second facet of this project is to implement a system to highlight and distribute the innovations, creations, and arts of displaced peoples, refugees, and asylum seekers to facilitate fundraising. Committed to garnering as much funding for educational programs for children in critical environments, health and safety programs for people facing common diseases such as tuberculosis, malaria, and HIV, and economic stability, we aim to be a platform for peoples of all backgrounds to advertise their products to be sold (all proceeds are returned as donations to credited foundations and organizations, the most notable being the International Rescue Committee).
Further, we aim to embrace arts across cultures through this commitment to fundraising, effectively motivating children to engage in inventive, imaginative activities, fostering their cognitive growth and ability to think outside of the box!
To receive these items, we will be endeavoring to partner with events to provide aforesaid arts, crafts, and home goods produced by the refugees you’d help by means of your donations! Ultimately, what this allots us the faculty to do is promote goods made by children and adults whilst funding further works by local NGOs, increasing their craft-visibility and getting them the resources they need to not only continue, but move on to more intricate works of innovation.
